After February, the epidemic prevention situation in China has finally improved, but the situation abroad has been deteriorating.

After February, the epidemic prevention situation in China has finally improved, but the situation abroad has been deteriorating. As of now, 80,422 cases have been confirmed in China, and 120 cases have been added in the latest day; 12,653 cases have been confirmed abroad, and the new addition has been added in the latest day. Up to 1809 cases. The rapid development of the epidemic in South Korea, Italy, Iran, and Germany has severely affected the local logistics industry.

For domestic cross-border e-commerce sellers, they are currently either trying to increase sales or replenish inventory. As a result, two recent hot events in the cross-border circle are the export of anti-epidemic materials and the skyrocketing price of air freight.

Affected by the global epidemic, protective materials such as masks, gloves, and protective clothing have been pushed onto the top export demand list. Recently, there has been a steady stream of business inquiries regarding the import and export declaration of masks. There have been regular import customs clearance qualification issues, and sensitive topics such as whether they have been seized by domestic customs. It is understood that China Customs has not currently banned the export of masks, nor has any customs news or written notices prohibiting the export of masks. Most of the export declaration issues are due to different export qualifications and overseas requirements.

We have compiled common information on the export of epidemic prevention materials for customers to refer to.

Mask requirements

In the European Union, masks are PPE personal protective equipment, "health-endangering substances and mixtures." Since 2019, the new EU regulation PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 will be enforced, and all masks exported to the EU must obtain a CE certification under the new regulations.

CE certification is a compulsory product safety certification system implemented by the European Union. The purpose is to protect the life and property safety of the people in the European Union.

If masks imported from the United States need to be sold, they must obtain FDA certification before they can be sold in the domestic market of the United States. Mask requirements

According to HHS (United States Department of Health and Human Services) regulations, NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) divides its certified anti-particulate masks into 9 categories. The specific certification is operated by the NPPTL laboratory under NIOSH.

In the United States, according to the lowest filtration efficiency of the filter material, masks can be divided into three grades-N, R, P.

N-type masks can only filter non-oily particles, such as dust, acid mist, paint mist, microorganisms, etc. The suspended particles in air pollution are mostly non-oily.

R masks are only suitable for filtering oily particles and non-oily particles, but when used for oily particles, the use time should not exceed 8 hours.

P-type masks can filter both non-oily particles and oily particles. Oily particles such as: oil fume, oil mist, etc.

According to the difference of filtration efficiency, there are differences of 90, 95, 100, which respectively refer to the lowest filtration efficiency of 90%, 95%, and 99.97% under the test conditions specified in the standard.

N95 is not a specific product name. As long as it meets the N95 standard and passes the NIOSH review, the product can be called "N95 mask".

Australia

Mask requirements

AS/NZS 1716: 2012 is the standard for respiratory protection devices in Australia and New Zealand, and related product manufacturing processes and tests must comply with this specification.

The standard specifies the procedures and materials that must be used in the manufacturing process of anti-particle masks, as well as the determined test and performance results to ensure their safe use.

Personal mail

1. Since each country has different requirements for imported masks, it is recommended that you consult the local agency or receiver before exporting to avoid the problem of materials being deducted or returned.

2. For the export and express delivery of self-use masks, the quantity must be within a reasonable range. If the quantity is large, it may be detained by foreign customs.

3. At present, the air shipping capacity has not fully recovered, and the transportation time is relatively long. It is recommended to pay attention to the update of the tracking number after delivery, and wait patiently. As long as there is no violation of the regulations, it will generally not be seized or returned.

With the resumption of work by domestic enterprises and the increasing demand for import and export of epidemic prevention materials, the demand for logistics of cross-border e-commerce companies is-fast! fast! fast! As a result, the price of air freight has changed from ups and downs to ups and downs...

According to foreign media reports, air cargo prices have soared due to increased demand and more than doubled this month, rising from US$3.65 per kilogram last month to US$6.65 per kilogram. It is expected that the price will reach US$10 per kilogram (US$4.54 per pound) in the coming weeks.
