Elizabeth Presa is a Melbourne based artist working with a range of materials and process including plaster casting, sericulture and apiculture. She is interested in the poetics of textuality, reading and writing, and sometimes collaborates with philosophers. Her sculpture installations often use the forensics of plaster to explore traces of the psyche, the environment and biological life. Elizabeth is the the Head of the interdisciplinary Centre for Ideas, at the University of Melbourne.
